WE HAVE MOVED !!!!

That's right we moved during the Christmas Holiday to our neighboring town Russellville Arkansas. Our new address is 902 E. 4th Street Suite 4. We are so excited about our new move and that many of our loyal customers have already located us and love the new store.

We also have a Facebook fan site if you like to become a fan of the Button Eyed Crow Gift Shop. Plus as we continue to grow we have opened an ebay store to sell our hand poured, triple scented wax tarts as well as some wood products to customers that love our products but cant swing by the store to chit chat and shop.

We still have some unpacking to do so it'll be a couple of days before I can get back and check the blog, but we truly hope all of you had a blessed holiday and a happy New Year.

Hugs and Blessing,
Kristine and Deborah.

A Time for Hauntings......

Well I can't believe Halloween is almost here. I am so sorry friends that I have kept away for so long. It's not that I've forgotten you it's just I've needed some time to heal and focus on moving forward. It's still a daily struggle, so many things will always remind you of the one you lost and loved, but along with the sadness comes happy days with grandchildren, loved ones, the friendly customers that visit our store and new creations.

Above I'd like you to Meet Miss Merla C. Ravensclaw whose on her way to the Witches Ball. I just listed her tonight on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/OOAK-Primitive-Folk-Art-Halloween-Witch-Doll-with-CROW_W0QQitemZ150379693671QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item2303540667 She has more pictures along with a detailed description. I am very proud of her. She kind of reminds me of myself, a little sweet and a witchy...lol. I hope all of you are doing well, I will blog more when I get the chance.
Hugs and Blessings,
Deb

Autumn Thyme in our Hearts N Home

Fall has arived here at not only at the store (more pics in the Button Eyed Crow Mercantile blog)but in our hearts and in our home. That magical feeling of nostalgia has filled our hearts with the warm days of summer and the sadness of summer's end. The kids will be going to school soon and my little one will be starting Kindergarten in 15 days. I ask myself where has the years gone?

My mom is having a hard time with the loss of my father. She has days when the memories get her down and when the hassles of dealing with Social Security, his pension, medical bills and so on just overtakes the day. Most days I know how she feels. With the start of Fall and the return of school reminds me just how close we are to the major holidays, and knowing that my dads absence from beloved Christmas traditions will be hard to take. I just keep telling myself each day that I need to be strong, level headed and patient, for as the Bible verse states "To Everything There is a Season" and we will make it together as a family.

I hope that the changing colors, the blustery days, and the spicy days of Autumn comfort your family as I hope they will mine. Until next time~

Hugs N Blessings

Pics N Flix

The days have been so lovely here in Arkansas that we've started to wonder if we will see the triple digits like we have in the past few years. Lately the River Valley area has only seen highs around 95 degrees. Don't get me wrong I am not looking the gift horse in the face I just would like it to get hot enough to keep the water in the inground pool warm. Last night it was a little chilly...lol.

I thought I would share a neat little tidbit. When the boys and I went last week to see a movie (transformers)I took

thier picture by the displays so that they can put together a scrapbook of their summer fun, so I thought I would share thier pics so far.

Here's a helpful hint (lol) stop taking pics before you get to the movies you have'nt seen or like me now I have to take new pics at the raining meatball movie when we see it this weekend and G-force, the boys were just so excited they wanted thier pics infront of all the displays. It's just so cute and you can even add silly borders to them when the pics are developed at Walgreens or I use Shutterfly.com.

Here is a preview of some signs over at the Mercantile that Mom has created at the store for customers ordering special orders.

I hope everyone is doing well. Our family has come together this summer and it's a good feeling...it's what my Dad would have wanted. We are learning to cope with his loss and have such good friends and guidance from everyone we know. Thank you all for being so kind to our family.
With many Hugs and Prayers,
Kristine, Mom, and Family

"Tomorrow is another day"

one of my favorite quotes from the movie Gone With the Wind. Today it means more. It means that life will go on no matter how hard it gets or how hard you cry. We had a beautiful Memorial for my father on Sunday and all our strengths were tested.

We had a Celebration of Life Memorial and will be planting a tree in his memory. It was a tough day spent with friends and family. Although like the saying states "Tomorrow is another day" and life coninues on. My children still get up in the morning needing breakfast, to be dressed, and housework still beckons to be done. As for my mother she is tackling the overwhelming task of notifying all the different state and federal agencies that have to be told and writing to relatives that might not have read it in the paper. We are all pulling together and keeping each other going. He would have be so happy to see the togetherness we all shared on Sunday.
As for her blogs I am acting as a caretaker and blogging for a little while as I stated in the last entry. Just a little update the Button Eyed Crow Mercantile has some new photos of the tart warmers, clamshell tarts, and wickless candles available for purchase through paypal. Shipping is standard priority shipping with no S&H fees.

I just would like to thank all of you for your lovely thoughts and prayers for our family during this time. May God Bless all of you and keep you safe.

Hugs,
Kristine
